How Points work on AG's Friday Night (and other Aanwen led raids) (submitted by Aanwen at 06:10pm CDT) PLEASE NOTE - As of right now these ONLY APPLY to raids hosted by Aanwen Just so it's on paper This is how I handle points. 2 points awarded for being on time for the raid. (Please note if the raid is scheduled to start at 7pm..but we haven't moved by 7:15 and you join at that time, you will still be considered late.) 1 Point for every hour. This is rounded to the nearest hour. 2 Points if you stay until the end of the raid. On your very first raid you are given 5 points on credit. If you use any of these points the will be deducted from your points accumlated during the raid. All raiders will gain points as long as you complete at least an hour of the raid. Points are updated as soon as possible. The board is considered to be accurate. If you have a question about your points let me know. Bidding. Bidding is open to all raiders. You may not bid more points then your currently have (exclusion - First raid) Your points may NOT go negative. You may bid on any item, The only exclusion is NO DROP non multi-questable items. AG Raid Point software updated (submitted by Radyn at 04:17pm CDT) The software that runs our Raid Point system was upgraded today. No new functionality was introduced. but several issues have been fixed. |

Why can't I see me? (submitted by Aanwen at 01:14pm CDT) Only raiders that have raided in the last 30 days now show on the main screen. If you have not raided in the last 30 days (Shame on you!) in the lower right hand corner you will see a switch that says show all By clicking on that you will see all raiders. Raid Point System Restored (submitted by Radyn at 09:40pm CDT) The Ancient Guardians' Raid Point database system was restored to service yesterday, following an outage introduced by the recent move of the site to new server hardware. The system, which had been functional since early May, contained the results from several of Aanwen's Friday Night raids -- including the names and raid-point balances of each player who had attended Ancient Guardian raids during this period. During the recovery, however, the contents of the system were lost because of an error during the recovery process. ``I'm embarrassed beyond words,'' said Radyn Truthsinger, the administrator of the site. ``In a single moment of blinding stupidity, I forgot everything I ever learned about good data-processing practices, and the result was that all the RP data was erased.'' Radyn acknowledged that he should have first backed up the database before performing such extensive recovery operations on it. Fortunately, most of the data were saved in an offline format by Aanwen Tresblou, the main raid leader during this period. ``Good [thing] I have a back up locally of my data base,'' said Aanwen. ``No worries! I'll get the info back in ASAP.'' The Ancient Guardians Raid Point system is up and running again. Members are encouraged to visit the site and register their characters with the RP system. |

Raid Leaders! Register please! (submitted by Radyn at 02:39pm CDT) Raid leader who plan on using the RB system to track raid points must register with the RP system before they can be granted administrative rights. If you plan on leading raids for Ancient Guardians, and you want to use this system to track Raid Points, then you must register with the system. |
