Purging the Land of the One-Eyed Menace

Monday brought the ruin of many a cyclops as the Ancient Guardians stormed the Rathe Mountains during their first daytime raid. The battle raged for four hours - as the scheduled three hours were not enough to slake the party's thirst for the task at hand - and no Guardians perished, so fine was the harmonious teamwork. More raids for the high 20s/low 30s level group are being planned; please check the boards and the event calendar for your chance to participate!

All Hail the Iron Chef!

Our first Ancient Guardians Iron Chef Competition had two contestants: Tangletwigs Thistlemist and Jhales. Two guest judges, Darksnight Fizzlemaster (of Norrath's Crusade) and Radyn Truthsinger, joined Gwanalla and Roserot in evaluating the dishes created – aided by our cheering spectators, Kaldarra and Zulgork Flabbychest. Our competing chefs were given their Mystery Ingredient, Gator Meat, and scored in three categories: Expedience, Difficulty and Creativity. Both participants tied with an average cross-category score of 6, so a tie-breaking taste test and random roll determined the final outcome. Our first AG Iron Chef is... JHALES!

True, Jhales walked away with the title (and the first-place trophy – the ceremonial Ogre Butcher's Apron – and 100 pp), but will she keep it? She says, "Yes!" We say, "Stay tuned for the next Iron Chef Competition!"

The Power of Gold

Guardian Keep is now a CSC Gold Community. There are no ads anywhere. It is a very wonderful thing.

Extra-special thanks go to Roserot for putting so much effort into setting up our new message board!

A Raid section has also been added to our Member area, filled with simple but important advice for those going on large multi-group raids, and brought to us by Phestus and Avron Holyblades. Enjoy!

Welcome to our new home!

As you can see, we've completely redesigned the site. In addition to the brighter look, there's a better roster, a trade skills area, and a large (but still under construction) area dedicated to roleplaying.

We would also like to introduce our redesigned message board, Guardian Keep. We've rearranged things a bit, but we hope that you'll still be able to easily find what you're looking for. None of the old messages have transferred over, unfortunately, so if you were in the middle of a conversation or had a trade stall set up, you'll need to copy and paste your post. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we believe that the benefits (some of which are coming) will be worth the effort. New postings should now be done in Guardian Keep.

At this point in time, none of the news or events archives have been converted yet, so those links are broken. Those will be done soon.

We hope that you like the changes. There are more to come – check back soon!
