Prince Taken in Chardok

Click for a larger pic!The Di'zok Prince has fallen! Last Thursday, February 27th, a group of Ancient Guardians and friends ventured into the depths of Chardok, seeking an audience with the royal Di'zok family. Unfortunately for our adventurous crew, the royal family declined our request for an audience in a most rude fashion.

Undaunted, we decided to go and see their Highnesses anyway. Several palace guards and other officials were at first opposed to our visit, but they soon saw things in a different light and we were allowed to proceed.

On the way there, we encountered another kind of Ancient Guardian -- one who attacked us without hesitation. Hey, maybe it couldn't read the tags over our heads? Anyway, we explained things to this guy, as well.

When we reached the royal palace, we were in luck! His Majesty, the Di'zok Overking, was wintering in Chardok and was in the palace when we arrived. Like those in the streets of upper Chardok, the guards here were none too friendly. We gave them lessons in diplomacy and moved into the palace.

Our first audience was with his royal highness, Prince Selrach Di'zok. I must say, the Prince and his eight personal guardians were a bit surprised when we entered his apartments. For some reason, they took exception to our presence there. Perhaps the chamberlain had failed to announce our visit? Oh, we already explained things to the chamberlain, a while back? Pity.

We had a lively discussion with the Prince and his guards, and I must say, they wound up teaching us a few things. However, at the end of the interview, they finally saw things our way, and the Prince was kind enough to provide Telairee with his head as a token of his respect. Congratulations, Telairee!

Alas, the hour was growing late, and the captain of our embassy, Arrk, decided we should return at another time to visit his Majesty the king. We ported out of the Prince's chambers amid preparations to return on Thursday, March 6th!

Gwanalla Gets Epic

Click for a larger pic! With the help of dozens of family and friends, our leader and regent Gwanalla completed her epic quest for the Nature's Walker scimitar in February. We rejoice with her and with all of those who had a hand in helping Gwan to achieve this landmark goal!

“There was an overpowering sense of relief!” said Gwanalla.

“I see my epic prize as a victory for the whole Family. If I tried to thank any one in particular, it would have to be Tiss for being relentless in encouraging me -- actually, hitting me over the head until I did it!

“I would stand beside anyone else who wants to see their Epic dream realized, as I know the whole Family would do. It will pay you off time after time later on, I'm sure!”
