Trackers confirmed that the fearsome Trakanon was in his lair. Sensible people would have left; the Ancient Guardians at the scene not only stayed, they invited their friends (and a few strangers!) to the ruins for a late night barbeque.
Despite a few minor delays as pajama-clad adventurers strapped on their armor for one more fight, the gathering of forces proceeded without mishap. Once assembled, the action was swift and decisive as the dragonslayers brought down Trakanon without a single loss.Special honors go to: Gwanalla and Radyn for organizing and wrangling the crew in addition to other vital duties; Aeloea for Calling the Heroes into place; Saryth for standing between the dragon and everyone else; and all of the 25 people who made a spontaneous late-night dragon hunt possible.
Congratulations to: Amethaul and Uncertian for dragon loot; Radyn, Gwanalla, Faileen and Talonfeldsar for acquiring the last piece required for their Key of Veeshan; and various casters who found needed spells over the course of the evening.
It was the first time... but it won't be the last.
